Laura Linney is an American actor, who became famous for her portrayal of vulnerable but strong characters. In the summer, while working at the company of her father, Laura Linney became fascinated with theatre. After that she attended Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which she began her acting career. Her Broadway career shortly after graduating, and then made her television debut the following year. Since then, she has performed in many films and stage and TV productions. During her career she received many awards, including her two Golden Globe Awards. Her nominations include five Tony Awards and three Oscar Awards nominations. But, in spite of her awards and accolades, the theater is her main interest and she will continue to play on the stage and on screen.
